Stockholm - Dining

We ate like kings in Stockholm! Aside from lunch in the Ostermalm food hall, we had two other fantastic lunches.
One where we tried the famous 'schnapps'. Not truly what you think...who knew Absolut was considered schnapps?

And for our last lunch, TJ and Kathy tried Swedish Meatballs at Den Gyldene Freden. It has the most warm and inviting atmosphere. Tons of candles and dark wood.

We also had dinners at F12, (where the waiter had just traveled to Napa and Sonoma and loved Californian wine,) and at Mathias Dalhgren. The meal at Mathias Dalhgren was so well presented and the food was so perfect that it stands as one of the best meal I've had in 2009.

Schnapsen is a German term for booze. There's even a card game by that name, it uses half a Skat deck. Although the Swedes may not admit it, Swedish is a Germanic language, that's my theory on the Absolut.
