Kent School - TJ's 20th High School Reunion

We were so excited about a visit to Kent for TJ's 20th reunion - and the main reason was that we'd be spending it with Craig and Rebekah.

It was my first visit to Kent - and it did not disappoint. The entire town and campus reminded me of a tv set, a typical 'boarding school, quaint New England town.' This was no PMHS.

The first night was a class dinner at a local pizza place, followed by a late night in the Fife and Drum where we were staying.

The next morning we dressed quickly and headed out for what I thought was breakfast, and what turned into a day full of activities.

  • Watching a few mens boats from a launch with the women's coach (the current men's first, another mixed and the entire crew from 1980,) row a few casual races.
  • A tour of the campus and new boat house - they even have a Kent logo in the carpet!
  • A BBQ
  • A hike up to see the 'rock' that is painted every year by the outgoing class

Saturday night was the big all class parade, speeches in the chapel and dinner, (with dancing.)

I got to see a glimpse into TJ's high school life. After ten years together, I've heard the stories about Kent, but it was quite sweet to be there and experience a bit of it.

And I can never get enough of Craig and Rebekah!
